The brief
Legacy magazine website was bleeding ad revenue and search rankings due to a 6.8s Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) and severe Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS).
The work
Re-architected theme without jQuery or external blocking scripts. Implemented SQLite object caching, Cloudflare Edge worker caching, responsive AVIF/WebP image generation, and critical CSS inline delivery.
